Background

Attunga Capital Pty Ltd (Attunga) and subsidiares are specialist investment managers with expertise in securities and derivative products. Attunga was formed on 23 December 2005 and was granted its Australian Financial Services Licence on 29 May 2006.

On 6 November 2008 Henderson Group plc (Henderson Group) acquired a minority equity stake in Attunga. This equity stake forms the basis of a broader strategic relationship between the two companies, including a marketing and distribution agreement.

The focus of the company and the people behind it is to create long term wealth for investors, by seeking out niche asset classes and applying unique skills to deliver superior performance.

Our Funds

Our funds are designed to capitalise on the attractive short term and long term investment opportunities in various niche asset classes. Asset classes currently focused on include power and environmental derivatives; soft commodity and agricultural derivatives and securities; and global metal commodities and related foreign exchange and ancillary markets. Other asset classes we continue to explore are weather, emissions, renewable energy and water. A weather commodity fund is currently in development.

Attunga is Trustee and Manager of a number of Australian domiciled onshore funds and also Investment Manager for a number of offshore domiciled funds, with these funds including:

The Attunga Power & Enviro Fund and Attunga Power & Enviro (Offshore) Fund primarily invest in the power market and related derivative products, mainly focusing on the Australian National Electricity Market (ETC and OTC), but with a mandate which includes CO2 emissions, weather, gas, water and other energy and environmental related markets.

The Attunga Agricultural Trading Fund and Attunga Agricultural Trading (Offshore) Fund primarily invest in global exchange traded soft commodity and agricultural derivatives and securities, with a focus on relative value and other trading strategies.

The Attunga Metals Trading (Offshore) Fund is a multi-strategy discretionary metals trading fund looking to exploit themes, trends, events, pricing and inefficiencies and anomalies in global metal commodities and related foreign exchange and ancillary markets.
